The Black Friday Cyber Monday stretch is the most exciting shopping stretch of the year. Retailers prepare months in advance to offer up the most aggressive discounts they can stomach while consumers are blitzed from every retailer they’ve swiped right with during their lifetime.

So what’s the problem? Your average customer who is as likely to shop from you as someone else they’ve supported in the past is less likely to be grabbed by an offer that looks and feels like every other offer they are being served.

Black Friday thru Cyber Monday

The Play: 

Run a Discount + Donation offer like the one Sheets & Giggles ran during 2021

Why it works: 

Layering a Givz Offer into your BFCM offer not only allows you to decrease your discount incrementally but it also provides the perception of providing a greater offer than your stand alone discount. If you are a company who gives back consistently like Sheets & Giggles, it’s really a great fit for your brand.

Example offer: 

Instead of 30% Discount, run 20% Off + 20% Donation. 

Why it works: 

The 20% Discount + 20% Donation will cost your bottom line meaningfully less than your 30% discount and provide your shoppers a more exciting and engaging offer to celebrate BFCM.

Giving Tuesday

The Play: 

Remove the discount component and double your impact

Why it works: 

It’s Giving Tuesday and a day to celebrate the incredible charitable organizations and give-back. Timing-wise, the day after your biggest sales of the year is a difficult day to attract new sales but we have seen success with this method.

Example offer: 

Instead of 20% Discount + 20% Donation, run 30% Donation or if you are feeling generous bump it up to 40%+.

Why it works: 

Reward your last minute shoppers and those additionally motivated to create impact with their purchase.

The Givz Donation Counter

The Givz Donation Counter will be released for Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM) for merchants to display on their homepage to celebrate our collective impact during the biggest shopping stretch of the year.

The counter will turn on at 12:00AM on Friday, November 25 and will run through the end of the month - covering Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday. Participating merchants are encouraged to add a donation add-on (Givz Offer) to their BFCM offers and to increase their donation percentage on Giving Tuesday.

Real-Time Amounts

The Givz Donation Counter will update in real-time and display the total amount donated by select Givz merchants.

Engagement & Cross Promotion Opportunity

Feel free to explore collaborations with other brands to cross promote and increase your reach and impact. The Givz App is available for all Shopify Merchants and we have a suite of API solutions for non-Shopify merchants to participate.

Customization

Merchants can customize the color setting of their widget by editing the Hex Codes for background color and typeface color.
